Service Description

This is a blood test that helps diagnose infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex organisms, such as M. tuberculosis, M. bovis, and M. africanum. It's also known as an interferon-gamma release assay (IGRA) because it measures the body's immune response to two proteins, ESAT-6 and CFP-10, that are found in these organisms.
